Mantle Packaging supply a range of Recycled CPET trays, ideally suited for the packaging of ready meals. They have a resistance to high temperatures, are suitable for freezing and are available in 6 sizes.
These plastic ready meal food trays are practical, effective and affordable, both in terms of sealing and of performance. They are the perfect solution for both conventional and microwave oven cooking.
Many of the trays are supplied in a pastel green shade (with the exception of the 1945 which will be supplied in maroon), these trays have a consistent colouring and are made up of a combination of post-consumer & post-industrial waste, making them a popular choice for recycled CPET trays.
The trays comply with the strictest food regulations keeping food safe in the entire temperature range between -40°C and 220°C, and outperforming alternative packaging materials in particular on food safety and recyclability.
For customers who were previously using air-Pet trays, that have since been discontinued, we supply a number of alternative sizing options within this range.
These trays are used mainly for ready meals applications or where the food is to be cooked or re-heated in a conventional oven or a microwave while still in the tray, either from a chilled or frozen condition. They are also suitable for pasteurised.
These Recycled CPET Trays are made up of post-consumer waste and post industrial waste giving a total recycled content of up to 80%.
The trays are reliably detected by existing sorting infrastructure in the UK and returned to the mixed stream where they can be recycled into new food safe products again and again.
