1. What is a tray lidding machine used for?

2. What types of trays can I use?
Our Lidding Machine works with most heat-sealable trays, including CPET, APET, PP, Ovenable Board, Sugarcane and Smoothwall Foil Trays. We also offer custom die plates to match your tray profile should you wish to use a tray we do not stock.  To see our range of trays CLICK HERE

3. Can I seal different tray sizes with one machine?
Yes, our SureSeal Plus allows you to switch between tray sizes using interchangeable die plates, which can be purchased when ordering the machine or afterwards if you want to .

4. Is the Lidding Film easy to change?
Yes, the machine is equipped with twin roll film supports, guide rings and film brakes for smooth unwinding.

5. What’s the difference between peel and weld seals?
Peel seals allow the film lid to be removed easily by the end user. Weld seals are stronger and provide a tamper-evident closure meaning the film would have to be cut from the tray. To see our range of Lidding Films CLICK HERE

6. Do I need special training to use it?
No formal training is required. Our machines are designed to be simple and easy to operate, with user-friendly controls. We also provide an instruction manual and video tutorials. To see a quick demo CLICK HERE

7. Is it suitable for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP)?
No, our SureSeal Plus does not do MAP. Please contact us for details if you require gas flushing capability or CLICK HERE to see our range of alternative machines.

8. What materials are the machines made from?
Our tray lidders are made from easy-clean stainless steel, ideal for food production environments.

9. Do the machines require regular maintenance?
Routine cleaning and basic maintenance such as checking the sealing plate and film feed are recommended. An maintenance guide is provided with every unit.

10. What power supply does the machine need?
Most tabletop models operate on a standard 3 amp plug, but please refer to the specification sheet for exact power requirements.

11. Do you stock spare parts?
Yes, we carry a full range of spare parts for all our machines.

12. Can I get a demonstration before purchasing?
